New Logo for MinorWhite’s Fireside Photographers Discussion

DownsDesign recently worked with our good pals and new neighbors at MinorWhite Photography to create a logo for their upcoming event called Fireside Photographers Discussion during Omaha Creative Week.
The Fireside Photograhers Discussion is an event to give local photographers and motion image makers the chance to get together around a fire, have a few brews and chat about community photography topics. Coolest of all, attendees will have the opportunity to spend the the night outside under the stars of the MasterCraft Building grounds.
Our goal for this mark was to create something original for MinorWhite and stay away from the commonly used cliche photography imagery. We focused much more on the idea of spending the night under the stars and perhaps the opportunity for a quick nighttime photo op. The gents at MinorWhite decided to go with our second logo option which was a mash-up of our ‘under the stars’ idea framed in an old school film slide.
